INVINCZIBLE J-2

Switzerland is about to witness something that has never been done before. The biggest compilation album ever, hosted and mixed by Switzerland's no1 Hip Hop DJ. The tracklist is so fat, just looking at it will make you gain weight!! This is history in the making. We worked our asses off for the past couple of years to make this come to life, and it's coming in 2 days. We are very proud of this project. I honestly don't think people understand what we did here. Never before has anyone been able to unite as many top notch high caliber Hip Hop artists from all around the world on one single project. We got Oxmo, Disiz, Les Psy4, Rim-K du 113, Leeroy de Saïan Supa Crew, Sako de Chiens de Paille, Kool Savaz from Germany, Promoe from Sweden, Lowkey from the UK. OHHHH did I mention IAM de la planète Mars? As a matter of fact, Shurik'n and AKH have never been on a Swiss album together ever before!!! And guess what, we even shot a video for the track, coming very soon!!. WHO ELSE? We got the most beautifullest thing in the world Keith Murray, J-Ro from the Alkaholiks, and of course all the Swiss talent available; Stress, Baze, Gimma, Griot, Nega, Opee, M.A.M., "F", Chakal, Méfiance, Cali P, Dynamike and myself spitting like back in the good old days, and can't still no one fuck with my lyrics!! AAAAND, I still haven't mentioned everyone!!!
I'm telling you, this album is crazy, listen to the SNIPPETS and juge for yourself...

WEEKEND DISIZ THE END + INVINCZIBLE

I see you Rick E). Du coup, showtime au Hype Club avec du Rhum. Inutile de vous donner les détails. (bon son + beaucoup de rhum + party people in Bienne = tjrs a very good time).

SUNDAY MORNING COMING DOWN

Now why would I put this up on my page you might ask... well, basically, I woke up with a huge hangover from a ruff saturday night so this song is perfect for today! I was reading the new Rolling Stone magazine in the train on my way back from Zurich this morning. After finishing the piece on Lil Wayne, I somehow end up reading this great article written by Ethan Hawke about Kris Kristofferson (one of america's best songwriters ever). Anyways, they say this is the best song about a hangover ever written. So here it is. Johnny Cash went on to record his own version in 1970 which launched Kristofferson's career (Kris came right into the control room at Colombia Records sweeping up and slipped his tape to June, who gave it to Johnny Cash) This is his original version, slower with a better melancholic feel to it... check the link to the RS article below...

QUESTLOVE INTERVIEW

Huge afro, great personnality, very talented on the drums... I had the pleasure to interview Questlove back a couple of years ago when he came to the Montreux Jazz Festival with D'Angelo. Not only is he a musical genious but he's great company and very fun to talk to. Here's a great interview with Sara Moskovitz and Kenny Fresh where he talks about Public Enemy, Vitamin Water, Lady Gaga and working for NBC among other things... ENJOY!!

If you could ask one deceased musician one question, who is it and what are you asking them?

If Jimi Hendrix were able to have a DoLorean-esque time machine, I would like to know what his take on modern technology is. Because he pretty much, with his second album Bold As Love, he damn near invented half the things that are now standard to modern music—it’s just that he sort of had to invent them the hard way. He wanted flange on his record, and he had to take three of his reels and play them all together simultaneously. Whereas now, there’s a flange invention. I would like to hear Jimi actually tell me, “Oh yeah, I would have invented auto-tune.”

What do you think has been the most influential piece in the American evolution of hip-hop?

“Rapper’s Delight” has stood the test of time. “The Message” is what made people take it [hip-hop] seriously and Run DMC made it accessible and Nation Of Millions made it art and Three Feet High and Rising made it fun and the first two Beastie Boys albums made it relateable. But just on a matter of a song coming out and me seeing the instant results of it, I think that no hip-hop song has had more cultural power—and it’s not even my favorite hip-hop song but I acknowledge the fact of it’s power—”Nuthin’ but a G Thang,” to me, was the first time that I saw a black hip-hop song make white kids feel black and like, with instant results. It’s almost as if “Nuthin’ but a G Thang” was Bill Haley’s “Rock Around The Clock”. To me, that signified rap as the new rebellion music for kids to piss their parents off to.

GEORGE CARLIN - RELIGION

Instead of being outside hunting for easter eggs, I'm on my couch in front of my computer surfing on Youtube. I somehow end up in the George Carlin Bay, a place I haven't been to in a while and of Course it's still a beautiful and funny beach with great waves to shred; Airplane Safety, Saving the Planet, Our Simularities, the Ten Commandments, etc.... His jokes are timeless. R I P to one of the best ever... and since this is a very religious weekend I thought I might just throw this one up
Happy Easter to all of you , whatever that means and enjoy
