My letter to Santa

yeah it's been a while since I've done this but hey, a man's gotta do what a man's gotta do... I know Santa loves real Hip Hop so he'll understand. I even typed it out at the bottom for those of you who have a crippled eyesight and/or can't read my handwriting, sorry but I haven't handwritten more than 5 words in a longtime...
(I can't believe I really did this)

Dear Santa,

I am a 36 year old Hip Hop fan. I must admit, it’s been a while since I wrote you a letter but since I don’t have your BlackBerry Pin or your e-mail adresse I decided to write this the old school way and just send this request to the North Pole like the good old days. As you know, good music is very important to me. I know you can make miracles happen when you’re not banging hoes on your sleigh so I wrote down some things that I would like to see under my Christmas tree this year.
I would really like to see Beanie Sigel, Jadakiss and Pusha T get together and do a supergroup album like Slaughterhouse did, on Just Blaze beats please ! Or atleast give me a new LOX album now that they signed with Puffy… AGAIN !!
Speaking of supergroups, I would love to hear Pharaohe Monch get together with Ras Kass and Kurupt for a project. That would be CLASSIC !
While you’re at it, tell them dudes in Harlem to check their egos ! I want Juelz Santana, Cam’ron and Jim Jones to reunite and hit us with something great. I don’t need those other dudes from Dipset, just the 3 of ‘em is fine.
And if you can’t do all that, due to short notice, atleast give me a dope new track from Evidence + Guilty Simpson, that would be sick !
And please Santa enough of those weak Auto-Tune wannabe singers, OK ? And tell Lil Mama I don’t want her showing up uninvited everytime I put on a Jay-Z song in my house DAMM !

Thanks Santa and Merry X-Mas

Premier minaret construit depuis l’initiative UDC à Bussigny

My Homie/old boss Toto is the best!!

Switzerland on The Daily Show with Jon Stewart

Unfortunately, there is also a bad side to our direct demorcracy here in Switzerland... but we did get Jon Stewart's attention, and as always, he's excellent with the humour. Check out John Oliver as he asks Ambassador Peter Maurer about Switzerland's unshakable neutrality shortly before its vote to ban minarets.

I'd rather go blind

I just spent my saturday night watching the movie Cadillac Recordswith wifey. Some people say the movie is an insult to the artists and history of Chess Records. (Mos Def playing Chuck Berry was Hilarious) All in all the movie was ok and made me wanna do my own research about the Blues, Chicago in the 50's, Muddy Waters, Chuck Berry, Little Richard, Howlin' Wolf and Etta James, Willie Dixon and Leonard Chess (all in the Rock 'N' Roll Hall of Fame). At the end of the movie Etta James (played by Beyoncé) performs "I'd rather go blind". Beyoncé did a great job with her interpretation of the song but somehow, nothing beats the vibe of the original version...

Obama pills anyone?

Anybody wanna swallow a Nobel Prize winning president?

There is now a line of Ecstasy pills made in the image of the 44th president of the United States, according to Texas police who have snatched a batch off the streets. A stash of the brightly colored tablets was found Monday during a south Texas traffic stop.
Police in Palmview detained a driver after finding black tar heroin, cocaine, marijuana and several Ecstasy pills in the back of his car.
The drugs look like a "vitamin for kids," police spokesman Lenny Sanchez said.

Pic of the week - count to... 6

While everyone is talking about the problems here in Switzerland with the population's ignorance after our voting results and whatnot... this is what's happening in India...
pic jacked from Time
Eleven-year-old Salu Raikwar, who was born with six fingers on both hands, walks in a slum area next to the Union Carbide Corp pesticide plant in Bhopal, India. The 25th anniversary of the disastrous chemical leak at the facility, which activists blame for birth defects in the area, falls on December 3.
